I will leave a very honest review here. The owners are extremely generous and this is the most authentic Chengdu / Szechuan food I’ve ever had. Do not be fooled by other restaurants fancy decor, some other restaurant tastes are bland and not authentic. If you want great portions, AUTHENTIC tasting Szechuan food, come here ASAP. I highly recommend the 辣子鸡 (spicy crispy chicken) sometimes regarded as the best in SGV. You can also ask the owners for off menu items to surprise your taste buds if you’re down for a flavor adventure. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
We went in expecting a menu and food like in the reviews and pictures. Be aware that the menu had a total revamp. Food wasn't bad, portion was small, and don't expect any service after you get your food. Check my photos for updated menu.
This place is pretty good for szechuan food. The best fish was the cold pork belly with garlic sauce. The meat was tender and there was noodles underneath it and the sauce was very good. The steamed pork slices were also very good and hearty. The wonton in chili oil was surprisingly also good. The boiled fish with pickles and green beans were decent. The overall taste of this place is interesting in that the mala isn't as strong as other Szechuan places. So that might be a turn off for some. The staff was nice and brought out the dishes in a timely order but kind of inattentive at times like filling the water. The atmosphere feels nice and quiet and homely.
Sichuan Delicious offers a rich variety of authentic dishes. If you love Sichuan cuisine, don’t miss this place!
I had a pleasant Sichuan dinner here back in February 2024. Def a solid spot - and hidden gem - for good spicy Chinese food. The business owners are also very nice. They spoke Mandarin but also a bit of English. Parking was easy. They have bathrooms in the back. Prices are very reasonable (compared to places in Alhambra/Monterey Park).
Great tasting authentic Szechuan food. Felt like I was beamed to Northern China. Husband and wife team did a great job. Husband is the chef and wife did her best to be hospitable with her limited English. Would definitely be back to try their other dishes. BTW, loved their Free Range Chicken on the skillet.
Very friendly mom and pop shop. I thought everything was good. The fatty pork and child cut meats were really good. There was the szchuan fish soup this that uses fresh fish. There was also a noodle dish like dan Dan noodles that was good too. Sorry I forgot the name of the dishes. Pro tip: they can make things less spicy if you ask
It’s authentic Sichuan home cooking. The ingredients are fresh. Personally, I like it a lot better than Sichuan Impression.
